I’m Jena, a.k.a. Thick Witch—the owner of Thick Witch Green House LLC and creator of Witches Brew™.

After years of being a serial hobbyist, I finally tried plants… and this one stuck. I’ve spent years collecting and growing everything from cacti and succulents to Alocasias, pothos, and my personal favorite, Hoyas.

Along the way, I discovered semi-hydro growing and the ease of using PON-style substrates. I started experimenting with my own mix and loved the results. When I began selling plant propagations, people started asking if they could buy the mix I was growing them in too.

That DIY mix eventually became Witches Brew™.

I wanted to offer something that was truly ready to use. Fresh mineral substrates can contain a surprising amount of fine sediment, and rinsing that material down household plumbing isn’t something I recommend. So I do the dirty work for you.

Every batch of Witches Brew is personally made by me. The materials are carefully sourced, thoroughly cleaned, sifted to remove sediment and unwanted particle sizes, and prepared to my own standards for a clean, consistent finished product.

What started as the substrate I made for my own plants quickly found its way into collections throughout the Phoenix plant community—and eventually became the heart of Thick Witch Green House.
